Nerome -Larix- Talmil

Nerome is the second child to be born to Fernar and Sabra and joined the family on 7405.14. His older sister, Jalara, preceeding him by three years. Nerome grew up in Mak'ala Province not too far from the Mak'ala Caves in which the Guardians look over the symbionts. He had a safe, secure and loving home life although recieved trouble at school and from other children due to his father's choice in mate.
As Nerome got older and those around him wiser his family became known for their mother, Sabra, and her memory constructing talents. Visited by many joined Trill she became a useful asset in bringing together fragmented memories in older or damaged symbionts. Nerome was proud of his mother's work and found life easier as the people he knew grew to respect his father's choice.
Starting from a young age and brought wildly into force when he began school were his father's ideals and conditioning to get Nerome accepted as a candidate for symbiosis. Working hard at school and taking gymnastics and music in his spare time he began to hate the idea of being joined due to the rigor it was placing on his life as a child.
Older and wiser, Nerome was in secondary schooling and advised that he would be smart to begin thinking about a path for his future. From all the paths open to this young man he chose medicine and took subjects accordingly. Enjoying his school work and slightly more forward he told his father he would not be continuing his music or gymnastics as he did not plan to become joined.
Leaving Mak'ala Province for Kalair City Medical Institute Nerome and his father had stopped speaking. Backed by his sister, who was studying diplomacy, ethics and negotiations, and his mother he began his journey to become a doctor. Finding medical school enjoyable and with a great sense of pride Nerome decided to work on alien medicine and expand his horizons with plans to leave Trill - this time backed only by his sister.
In his third year Nerome, like his sister had done, began to develop an empathic and telepathic ability similar to his mothers which was not expected of the children. Finding the emotional wash of his surroundings too much for him Nerome paused his studied to return home in order to recieve training in his abilities and found, as his sister had, that the joining brought control to these abilities as well as logic.
Tempted by the thought of controlling his telepathic and empathic abilities he considered symbiosis but was daunted by the loss of close contact it had brought his sister. As she matured and brought the two minds together with the advantage of empathic abilities Nerome joined the symbiosis programme and was welcomed.
Loved by his field docent for his ability to aid in the reconstruction of his symbiont's eleven hosts and his medical tuition he was put forward for joining and recieved the Larix symbiont. Lost in a world filled with memories of times he hadn't experienced, emotions he as the host was not truly feeling and the struggle to keep afloat above the powerful force inside him he alienated his family as his sister has done. He slowly but surely emerged from his ordeal as Nerome -Larix-, the seventh incarnation of the Larix symbiont.
Once again on speaking terms with his whole family he was backed by them as a whole in his decision to continue his education in alien medicine at Starfleet Academy. His horizons now landscaped by the fact he had six previous life-times of experiences, knowledges and the ability to piece them together without being flooded by telepathic and empathic "noise".
Whilst at Starfleet. Nerome's future took another twist as he not only studied to become a doctor but a psychiatrist as well. The intergration of host and symbiont had brought about changes he could not explain and found that he wished to use his Ullian abilities to help others along with his medical knowledge and skill. Old habits surfaced like gymnastics and music with some odd ones too; a love for Cardassian red-leaf tea, avid playing of tongo and 2D chess, enjoyment in raising plant life and a severe phobia of fire, being burned & insects - followed by a dislike of plomeek soup. Nerome possesses a heightened state of memory exchange with the symbiont due to his Ullian abilities.
Leaving Starfleet Medical as a doctor and as a counsellor he found his future looking bright and in the continuation of his symbiont and host relationship the learning had only began.

First Host:
Name: Aviva -Larix-
Sex: Female
Family: Never married.
Occupation: Composer
Death: Aviva died on Risa whilst composing The Joining - her death was caused by a flying insect beamed onto the planet with alien traders. The neurotoxins resulted in isoboromine levels below 40% of normal meaning Aviva's life was sacraficed to safe the symbiont's. <62 y/o>
Notes: Aviva -Larix- was in the final stages of completing The Joining - a massive musical work for two orchestras and a choir which documented the joining of a Trill host with a symbiont.
Trait To Symbiont: Understanding of the complexities of musical composition.

Second Host:
Name: Ilin -Larix-
Sex: Male
Family: Never married.
Occupation: Botanist/Therapist
Death: Ilin died from natural causes on Trill. <88 y/o>
Notes: Ilin was a nature therapist at a school for Trill children with special needs.
Trait To Symbiont: Interest in plants and flowers. Taste for plomeek soup & Vulcan cookery.

Third Host:
Name: Jaauk -Larix-
Sex: Male
Family: Never married.
Occupation: Freighter Engineer
Death: Jaauk died due to burns sustained in a plasma explosion aborad the freighter on which he was serving. The symbiont was undamaged although was put into statis whilst travelling back to Trill. <29 y/o>
Notes: A restless soul was Jaauk, who, on his travels picked up a taste for Tongo which was not exactly good for his pocket.
Trait To Symbiont: Interest and ability to play Tongo and phobia of fire. Aquired taste for tooth-grubs.

Fourth Host:
Name: Vilaria -Larix-
Sex: Female
Family: Single
Occupation: Professional Parsises Squares player.
Death: Vilaria died from critical head injuries sustained during a Parises Squares championship match held on Trill. <34 y/o>
Notes: A fantastic Parises Squares player who after being joined became even better seeming more skilled and focused. Took an interest in self-defence arts from Trill history which are similar to aikido on Earth.
Trait To Symbiont: Sports and athletic spirit.

Fifth Host:
Name: Elena -Larix-
Sex: Female
Family: Husband: Paul Kerr and son: Justin Kerr
Occupation: Trill diplomatic liason to Earth.
Death: Elena died from natural causes brought on by her advanced age. The host was brought to Earth so as no need to remove Elena's body from Earth where she's buried. <114 y/o>
Notes: Elena, in her time on Earth, completed Aviva's The Joining and had it played at her 100th birthday. Her husband, Paul, also taught her 2D and 3D chess with her favour leaning towards 2D.
Trait To Symbiont: Enjoyment of old age and 2D chess.

Sixth Host:
Name: Havilland -Larix-
Sex: Male
Family: Wife: Leie -Rahm- and daughter: Lenara Imil
Occupation: Linguist
Death: Death was caused by the removal of the symbiont. The cause for removal was irratic isoboromine levels despite benzocyatizine being used. <94 y/o>
Notes: Havilland was fluent in the following; Trill, Klingon, Federation Standard, Vulcan & fragmented Cardassian.
Trait To Symbiont: Affinity with new foreign languages and ability to speak Klingon, Vulcan, Federation Standard & Ferengi fluently and fragmented Cardassian. Aquired taste for Cardassian red-leaf tea.
