Solaran Logan

To explain the family history of Solaran you have to know something about his parents first.

Ray Parker was a member of Starfleet, he served aboard the USS Tomar. He was an officer who always had a thing for Vulcans. He had various vulcan friends, two of them were living on Vulcan. When Ray went on holiday, he normally tried to visit them. He did nothing else than that when he was much younger. He just got promoted to Lieutenant JG and wanted to tell this to his friends personally. On his flight to Vulcan, on a normal freighter, he met a young Vulcan named Lirun. In the moment where he saw her he fell in love with her, he had to get to know her.

Lirun didn’t know what to think about Ray, he seemed to be nice, but she didn’t want to tell him too much about herself. She was an intelligence officer of the Tal Shiar, her mission was to capture some data from the main database on Vulcan, so that the Romulans could update their information about the Federation. For that mission she was physically altered to look like a Vulcan and she was highly trained to act like one of them. The Tal Shiar had also created a whole new profile for her and had integrated it into the Vulcan database. When she met Lieutenant Parker on the flight she took her chance to talk to him to test out if her appearance was good enough to fool him. The test was a very big success, Parker didn’t even think about the possibility that she wasn’t a Vulcan.

When they arrived the planet, they both went their way to do what they had to do. It was a surprise when they met on the USS Tomar again. Lirun had done what the Tal Shiar expected from her, but she hadn’t been careful enough, that’s why Starfleet was now searching for someone they didn’t know, but they expected the person to be a Vulcan.

Lirun remembered about Ray, she also remembered that he was attracted to her when they met at first. They had spent more than three days together on the freighter and became friends back then. So she made a hasty decision to save her life, she proposed a relationship to Ray, and he, not questioning her weird behaviour, accepted. Lirun didn’t expect to stay longer than needed with Ray, but she wasn’t aware of the thing that happened to her. She also fell for the young Lieutenant.

She didn’t know how, but she had to tell him the truth about herself after two month which they had been together. Then one night she did, he was shocked, but he sweared to her to cover up the whole thing so that nobody would ever know.

The contact to the Tal Shiar was difficult to establish for Lirun and the problem was that she didn’t like to be in there anymore after half a year that she had now spent with Ray on board of the Tomar. She broke off her contact.

For 4 years everything went fine for them, no questiones were asked, they had married, and had become a child Solaran who was 3 years old at that time. Then it happened, while they were on a holiday on Risa, nothing indicated the situation at first, but Lirun got assasinated by another tourist. A human called David James.

He was arrested by Starfleet, they investigated the whole incident, and found a connection between the Tal Shiar and Mr. James. He knew everything about Lirun and her past. The Tal Shiar had paid him to kill her, like he had often done it before. He was one of their best agents within the Federation.

A little while later after this Ray Parker was arrested and later kicked out of Starfleet. They took his son Solaran away from him.

Solaran grew up on Earth then in another family, the Logans accepted him very well, even their son John did. He liked Solaran like an older brother, but for Solaran it was very hard to integrate in the family and into the whole society, he always had the face of the enemy, even if people wanted to be nice to him he knew deep inside that they did not really accept him.

Almost every night Solaran awoke, because of nightmares, he always saw how his mother was murdered.

He got to know his father when he was 10, he decided to stay with the Logans, but he agreed that he could visit him from time to time.

One day when he was 15, he looked into the mirror of the bathroom and saw his face, he couldn’t take it anymore, and destroyed the mirror, took a peace of it and rammed it into his right cheek. The Logans were very shocked, because of his outbreak, it took them a while to get him a new perspective in life.

This new perspective was different than the Logans thought it would be, they tould him that he would get so many chances to make something good out of his life, he smiled only and said something like yes.But his new perspective was to hunt down the ones who he thought caused all this trouble in his life, the Romulans who decided it would be the best to kill his mother. He hated every single Romulan and his heart cried out for revenge.

As soon as school was over for him he decided to join Starfleet, because he thought it was the best opportunity for him to get out into space. He trained hard, and graduated. He was always the quiet guy at the Academy, he didn’t have any friends, he liked to be alone. He was good at teamwork, but only because he had to, to reach his target.

Counselors sensed that he hid something, but no one could ever find out what exactly that was. They always said it’s because of his past, they said that his commanding officers should have more patience with him than with other Cadets. That’s why he made it through the Academy.
