Ri

Ri was a prodigy! He began reading when he was three and goes through two grades at a time. Despite this gift his early years were tragic and lonely. You see his parents burnt up in a fire caused by a domestic dispute over his father’s constant cheating. Ri escaped the blaze with science, engineering and medical textbooks his mother gave him.

At the age of four years old Ri inherited his father’s cruise line called Jub Jubs cruises to thr stars. The space liners cruised to all the quadrant’s tourist planets. Ri was not a typical Ferengi businessman. He gave free healthcare and paid time off before it was legal to do so. He donated 20 percent of his profits to research centers which he started. Every payday was an ice cream party, which eventually included alcohol once Ri turned twenty.

He hired humans to manage the day to day operations of the cruise line while he was home schooled by tutors during grammar school and attended the Daystrom Institute University for college. He graduated from high school when he was ten, earned a medical doctorate when he was sixteen and earned masters degrees well into his twenties.

Once he was satisfied with his education he served as CEO on his favorite cruise ship the latinum paradise. One day he answered a disaster beacon from Starfleet Aikira Heavy Cruiser USS Boomerang. All ship systems were damaged including life support. Only 30 survivors remained and none of them were engineers. Ri Repaired their life support, artificial gravity and warp drive saving the ship and what was left of their crew. With a recommendation from Captain Morgan, CO of the Boomerang, Ri joined Starfleet.
