Family history
in Yung grew up in Korea where his mother taught 4th grade and his father ran a museum. Jin Yung loved science since he first discovered it. He took his love of science to Starfleet Academy but dropped out to help take care of his father after his father suffered a fall that left him unable to walk for a few months. During that time, he met Choi Soo Young and fell in love with her. They courted for a few years and had a traditional Korean wedding. After their first daughter was born, Jin Yung returned to Starfleet and finished his academy training. During his time there, his second daughter was born.
