Aislin never met her only sister (Katheryn) who was given up for adoption when Christine (her mother) was only 17. Aislin is nearly fifteen years younger than her sister. Her father left her mother when she decided to take the Captaincy of the USS Compassion. Aislin sees her father from time to time, but their relationship is strained. Aislin has a wonderful relationship with her mother though. They talk weekly via subspace.
Aislin was educated aboard the USS Hayden until it was decommissioned. After that, she was raised and educated by her mother who was the Commanding Officer of the medical ship USS Compassion. As soon as she was old enough, she applied and was accepted at the Academy.

Aislin is in perfect health.
Aislin has the characteristic Irish Freckles covering her milky white skin. She even has a bunch of freckles on her right ankle that look like a shamrock.
